On your side, in writing
Our promise: you are who this is for. Nobody else.
Most money websites are paid by the companies they compare. That shapes what you see, what is hidden, and who gets called a best buy. Here, nobody you compare is paying for the verdict. This is what that means for you, in writing.
- Save more.
- Spend less.
- Take back control.
1. Free for households, forever
Not a free trial. Not free for now and paid later. Free. If you are ever asked to pay for the core of what you get here, that is a failure, and you will be told so plainly.
2. Nobody buys their way in front of you
Businesses on LiveCheaper pay one flat monthly fee. There is no bidding, no pay-per-click, no premium placement. The order you see them in is decided by verified ratings from households who actually used them. Fall below the line and a business drops out, however much it pays.
3. No commission for switching you
Nobody here earns a penny when you switch. So when a deal is bad, you are told it is bad. When staying put is the right call, you are told that too.
4. Your photo is yours
A scanned receipt, bill or letter is read once, stripped of card numbers, sort codes, account numbers and National Insurance numbers, then deleted within 15 minutes. You keep the plain-English summary, behind your login. It is never sold, shared, or used to target you.
5. Adverts off when you are struggling
The moment you scan a letter about money owed, every advert, affiliate link and partner offer disappears for your household, for 90 days at least. Nobody gets sold to when they are frightened. That is not a policy someone can quietly change; it happens automatically, every time.
6. Plain English, or you will not see it
No jargon, no acronyms without a translation, no condescension. If a sentence would not make sense to someone reading it at the kitchen table after a long shift, it is rewritten until it does.
7. You are told what this is not
This is not a lender, a broker, or a regulated financial adviser. You get information here, and you are pointed to free people who can give advice. StepChange, National Debtline and Citizens Advice are named on every debt page because they are the right people for that.
8. Hold us to it
If you think any of these has been broken, say so. You will get an answer in plain English and, if you are right, the fix happens in public.
